The majority of today’s generations live ecologically on credit, which has far-reaching consequences for future generations: Not only will they face enormous challenges in having sufficient natural resources, but also in coping with the effects of the advancing climate change. While taking action now to reverse this trend, we must also consider preparing next generations for living more sustainably.

As an essential element of the global response to climate change. Education helps young people understand and address the impact of global warming, encourages changes in their attitudes and behavior, and helps them adapt to climate change-related trends.

EARTH ECO APP

Education tool provides pathways to open young people’s eyes to the importance of sustainability and to engage them in a deeper understanding of this issue so that it has real meaning to them.

Earth ECO is an iPad educational app that combines audiobooks and games. Targeted at children, in a playful way it also helps understand how to apply sustainable solutions in our day-to-day life, following the “Think globally, act locally” idea. There are currently 3 basic scenes set up: Urban, Woods, and Ocean. Each scene has different elements, and each element has corresponding information and games.

Scene 1 - Urban

The content of Scene 1 is mainly about different transportation and a few basic sustainable energy sources.

Scene 2 - Woods

Scene 2 - Woods

Scene 2 is about the ecosystem of the suburbs and woods. The beaver also related the dam in Scene 1, thus conveying the close relationship between humans and nature.

Scene 3 -  Ocean

Scene 3 - Ocean

Scene 3 is the ocean. Through this scene, children can learn about the impact of petroleum extraction on the marine environment, the regulations of human fishing activities, and the disasters caused by climate change to glaciers and corals.

The information points of each scene have corresponding learning activities, which provide learning content, related games, practical actions, and exploration of external related content.

The project's website provides a platform for information release and exchange. In addition to the information and learning tools of the project, the schools or organizations cooperating with the project will also be linked to the website. More related content will be published on it, such as news on education for sustainable development, school climate action strategies, coming climate activities, and so on.
